拍品专文

This bottle is of the type which must have been blown into a standard mold since many examples of this shape are known and they frequently show signs of the two-part mold which contained them. The material here features one of the more unusual colors with subtle markings that resemble a particular type of pale green jadeite.

For a group of green sandwiched glass bottles in The Victoria and Albert Museum, acquired by the Museum of Practical Geology as early as 1880, see H. White, Snuff Bottles from China, pl. 67, and for another green sandwiched glass example in the Palace Museum, Beijing, see Snuff Bottles - The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum, p. 60, no. 92.
