The above painting is the original artwork for the poster used by the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER), advertsing rail services to the Lincolnshire resort of Skegness. The poster was used between 1923 and 1947. It is believed the 'Jolly Fisherman' caricature is hidden in the lower margin under the mount. A printed image of the poster is attached to the reverse.
