Each side painted with Orientals on terraces with flowering shrubs, one scene with a negro servant kneeling with a bowl of fruit before a dignitary smoking a pipe and seated on a cushion by a pavilion, within shaped oval gilt line cartouches edged with gilt scrolls and angular Böttger-lustre panels, edged with pale-brown and iron-red foliage scrolls, with insects and indianische Blumen about the ear-shaped scroll handles, the handles edged with gilt bands and gilt scrolls, the domed cover similarly decorated with flowers, insects and two scenes around a large knobbly branch finial, within a moulded gilt band rim (tureen with large section restuck, footrim with firing crack and related chip, cover with chipping to inner flange, minute wear to rim)
