Sinclair Thomson was a painter, draughtsman, potter and teacher. He taught pottery at evening classes at the Glasgow School of Art and had a kiln at his home. He received a commission to create large pottery murals for Lanarkshire schools and arranged art classes in his home; Joan Eardley was one of his students.
