The ovoid body and neck decorated in white slip with a lace-like design of lotus scroll incorporating dragons, bats and pendent chimes, between decorative borders and with a band of keyfret on the high shoulder, all reserved on a turquoise ground repeated on the interior and the base surrounding the nianhao, with a pair of gilt-decorated iron-red handles terminating in a ruyi head, the mouth rim gilded
