The later oval bevelled plate within a surround of foliage and strapwork, surmounted by a vase of flowers and flanked on each side by pairs of love birds, the apron a scrolled foliate-wrapped mask, bearing a label to the reverse 'PAOLO PARIS/GILDER/159,Strada Forni Malta, - Valletta', possibly originally a picture frame.
