The present picture has been authenticated by Michel Rodrigue from photographs and will be included in his forthcoming supplement to the Jules Dupré catalogue raisonné.
This painting closely resembles Bateau de péche sur la grève, painted circa 1868-1872. (See Madam Aubrun Catalogue Raisonné de l'oeuvre de Jules Dupré p. 156, no. 430).
