the carved hull with ebonised wales, planked decks with appropriate fittings and armaments, is finished in black and varnish with red gun port lids and bulwarks, is mounted on a marquetry display base with bone ballustrading and rosette corners within contemporary straw work display case with drop front (evidence of previous restoration, rig in poor overall condition, fore and mizzen masts fractured, losses and loose parts). The model -- 9 x 10in. (23 x 25.5cm.); Overall -- 11¼ x 13 x 6in. (28.5 x 33 x 15cm.) Letter of reference, 1930.
