拍品专文

A dazzling combination of large chunks of faceted rock crystal and delicately colored enamel medallions, affixed to a large support staff, this cross would have played a significant role in Spanish religious processions and ceremonies. Part of a group attributed to the Catalonian region, it relates to others from the region and is a sophisticated and significant piece (H. Hahnloser and S. Brugger-Koch, op. cit., nos. 72 and 80).
