Lot Essay

The firm of Boin-Taburet, the orfèvrerie founded in Paris, circa 1875, was famed for its recreations of Rococo styles, exhibiting in the 1889 Paris and 1891 Moscow Exhibitions. At the former they were awarded a Gold Medal for a table centrepiece after a design by Juste-Aurèle Meissonnier (d. 1750).
