Each standing before a tree-stump, the fisherman in contra-posto, a basket of fish balanced against his right hip, a net at his back, wearing brimmed hat, tunic, breeches and sandals, his companion holding a fish in her right hand, a net in her left, a basket of fish at her feet, wearing a loose tunic over striped apron and skirt, on rocaille-moulded base enriched in gilt and applied with leaves and flowers
