With nickel-finished fully jewelled keyless lever movement, screwed gold chatons, bimetallic compensation balance, minute repeating on two polished steel hammers onto a gong, gold cuvette with engraved floral decorated border, the silvered engine-turned dial with Roman numerals, unusual pink gold and diamond-set cross-shaped hands, subsidiary seconds, all centred and surrounded by an applied gilt floral decoration, in heavy circular case with finely chased and engraved floral and foliage decoration, the front centred by an oval cartouche depicting The Three Graces in high relief, a classical scene to the back, repeating slide in the band, case signed James Nardin Locle Patented Aug. 17, 1869, cuvette and movement signed by retailer
