Oblong, the sides chased with flowers and scrolls, the corners with applied buttress form scroll feet, the detachable cover with connected ring motifs, heightened with aquamarine enamel, with a hammered finish and a fitted wood interior, marked under base and on flange of cover, the base engraved 'OMAR RAMSDEN & ALWYN C. E. CARR MADE ME 1902' the wood stamped 'PAYNE & SON SILVERSMITHS OXFORD'
