A REGENCY BRASS AND POLYCHROME-JAPANNED MANTEL CLOCK

The circular enamelled dial with Arabic chapters and gilt hands in a drum case with urn-finial, above a waisted socle and waisted pedestal decorated with a Royal Navy square-rigger in stormy seas, on brass paw feet, with later movement and winding key, the underside with paper label printed 'Goatley Watch & Clock MAKER Working Goldsmith & JEWELLER CANTERBURY' beside a classical female figure bearing a watch; with a Regency sycamore inkstand, early 19th century, with rectangular tray and two glass ink-wells, with central carrying-handle and a mahogany-lined drawer, previously ebonised, 12 in.
