ALBERT ODMARK NOTES
Purchased Sotheby's London, 11 January 1984, lot 163.

Thomas Earnshaw was an eminent watchmaker and known particularly for his work on chronometer escapements, in particular his rivalry with John Arnold, who he claimed, plagiarised his design for the chronometer escapement.
