The silver collection of the Earls of Thanet are perhaps best known for the substantial service supplied by Paul de Lamerie to Sackville Tufton, 7th Earl of Thanet from 1742 to 1746. That service included a pair of soup tureens, covers and ladles which were sold Christie's London, 5 July 2000, lot 10.
