Chancery 4° (203 x 138mm). Gothic type, woodcut initials, initial spaces. Woodcut of a monk in his study and a white-on-black initial mounted on first blank page. (Light dampstaining, mostly marginal, small wormholes, wormtrack affecting a little text in 3 quires, narrow strip of upper margin of A2 renewed.) 20th-century blindstamped calf, two fore-edge clasps, earlier blue edges (extremities rubbed).
