Modern calf by Julius Getliher, large black sheep title label on front cover, endpapers from a 13th-century vellum manuscript, (modern translation into English bound at the end). Provenance: Hans Ludendorff (1873-1941, bookplate)-- Honeyman Collection (Sotheby's VI, 1981, lot 2718) -- William M. Honig (inscription dated 26 May 1983) -- [Sotheby's, 25 May 2000 lot 74].
RARE. Third edition of the first and most reprinted scientific treatise about astronomy of the Middle Ages, over 30 editions are recorded between 1472 and 1501. ISTC online locates seven copies only. C 5206; Klebs 874.3; Goff J-401.
