A RARE LATE MING WUCAI BOWL
WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE-CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619)
The deep rounded sides well enamelled in bright tones with Shoulao riding on a brown deer followed by four attendants carrying parcels and bearing a fan, travelling to a pavilion perched over a lake surrounded by trees, the mouth rim encircled by lingzhi sprays, the interior with a central roundel containing a fierce dragon and around the rim with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, all within single and double line borders (rim frits and small chips repaired, minor enamel losses)
