Of globular form, finely carved around the thin sides with four registers of overlapping undulating petals, from the short rim encircled by a band of curled petals, to the flower-head foot, flanked by a pair of handles, each formed by an acanthus bud suspended between acanthus leaves, the stone of an even creamy-white tone with a few opaque inclusions; with a later jade cover and a metal liner
