With fluted moulded inner selvedge with stylised palmette clasps to the angles within a ribbon-twist and stiff leaf-carved border, the outer edge carved with egg-and-dart, some losses to gilding, possibly originally with cresting, with original makers label 'C.Salmon, late Nelson, Carver, Gilder, Frame-maker to their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Dukes of York and Clarence, Marshall St. Golden Square London, Gilt Furniture in General'
