An English or Flemish giant brass and iron lantern clock with alarm
Basically first half 17th Century
The case with columnar uprights to each angle, with vase-shaped finials supporting the bell stand above, engraved side doors, with iron top and bottom plates, florally engraved dial plate to Roman chapter ring with trident half hour markers (later?), central alarm-setting disc and single iron hand, iron work positioned on the back plate with hoop and spurs, the thirty-hour movement with restored balance escapement with brass balance and countwheel strike
