1978 described as "the year of the miracle" by Harry Waugh", the famous wine buyer of Harveys of Bristol, on account of an atrocious, no hope, growing season saved by a brilliant autumn - six weeks of cloudless skies and warm sun. Quite by chance I was there at a time to see the miracle myself. The Montrose now very mature looking, with a dry finish. A good '78. M.B.
