Circa 1810, perhaps Chamberlain's Worcester
Painted in the Chelsea style in the Kakiemon palette, with geometric panels alternating between stylised tree-trunks issuing flowers and scrolls centred by a flowerhead reserved on an iron-red ground, the centre with two exotic birds, their long tails forming a circle, within a stylised border of gilded flowerheads and trailing leaves
