Swedish or Danish, circa 1760/1780
Cassolette-shaped slightly flattened gold perfume flask, chased and embossed with Rocaille on an engraved herringbone pattern, enamelled in translucent green with basse taille leaves and in multicolour opaque with flowersprays, the pierced mushroom-shaped gold stopper chased with flowers and foliage and inset with a garnet finial, attached to the neck with a gold chain, the hinged base opening to reveal a compartment for patches with mirror in the lid
