Late 17th century, possibly Baden-Baden, maker's mark only PS
On octagonal base, the bust realistically modelled and wearing mitre and robes chased with floral and foliate scrolls on a textured ground, the center front set with an enamelled medallion with two coats of arms, the base chased with fruit and ribbon swags, fitted with a lined red cloth cope embroidered with gilt thread, maker's mark on rim of mitre, body and base

The arms are those of Baden Baden impaling Sachsen Lauenburg, for Ludwig Wilhelm, Margrave of Baded Baden and his wife Sibylle Auguste (1675-1733), youngest daughter of Herzog von Sachsen-Lauenburg, whom he married in 1690.
