Maker's mark only of Cornelis Blaauwbeens, Middelburg, circa 1740, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1795 for Zierikzee and later Dutch duty mark of 1893-1906
The horn of usual curved shape with on top a silver-mounted cover engraved with a coat-of-arms, a plain silver mid-band with triangle rim, a dragon head finial with on top a hinged silver shaped animal used for closing the horn, a chain attached to the finial and top, marked on finial
