Gilt and painted in colours, the centre decorated with the crowned coat-of-arms of the Romswinckel family flanked by a tied laurel branch, the border with trailing flowers, the lobed edge dotted in gilt

This is the only recorded Loosdrecht armorial dish. It is probable that it was part of a dinner service ordered by Joost Romswinckel (1745-1824) who was a member of the Veertigraad from 1772-1787 and Schepen from 1781-1783, both in Leiden.
