Fullwood lived and painted at Curlew Camp at Sirius Cove with Streeton and Roberts. Barry Pearce noted that: "Henry Fullwood went to live at Curlew after he lost his savings in the 1893 bank crash and was known to others in the camp as 'Uncle Remus' because of his story-telling ability. A veteran of artists' camps, he remained at Curlew until his marriage in 1895, painting often in the area, including Sirius Cove, 1894, showing the large sailing ship that Streeton painted." (B Pearce, op.cit, pp.59)
