The stepped and moulded breakarch hood with outset brass stop-fluted reeded columns, glazed side panels, breakarch trunk door with moulded frame, the plinth with moulded rectangular panel and stepped base, the 11½in. wide brass dial with foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring signed Nathan Levy/LONDON, matted centre with subsidiary silvered seconds disc within a pie-crust border and with square date aperture, later and black painted hands, the arch with silvered strike/silent ring with matted centre, the five pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on bell, with later seatboard -- 84½in. (215cm.) high
