The naturalistic case modelled with a figure of Cupid clambering with a dove towards a classically draped female figure, inscribed Auolet a Venus, with fluted mock pilasters to the base, the inverted breakfront plinth inset with guilloche mounts and raised on later feet, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial signed Imbert L'AINÉ, pierced gilt-metal hands, the twin barrel movement with later escapement and countwheel strike on bell, signed Imbert L'ainé Paris on the back plate -- 16¼in.
