Of typical circular form, with sliding cover, the case with mirror-plate wall fitting, silvered sight ring to 4¼in. (11cm.) diameter Roman dial, signed and dated VULLIAMY/LONDON/AD.1847., blued steel moon hands, regulation square offset by XII, the single chain fusee movement with rectangular plates, platform lever escapement with plain balance, regulated from the dial via a pinion and moving rack, signed and numbered on the back plate VULLIAMY/LONDON/NO.1819; some alterations -- 5½in. (14cm.) diameter
