THE JOHN PARRY COLLECTION John Parry was a well-known figure in the Stroud Valleys and was very keen on country and rural pursuits. He was also seen in salerooms around the country and often attended sales in America. His passion for buying was at its height in the early 1990s and the textiles made up an important part of the collection. After his death late last year, the executors instructed Christie's to proceed with the sale of the textiles.
