Apparently unmarked, Germany, circa 1760
Rectangular, the hinged (broken) cover with monogram FR below coronet enclosed by ten written cities and dates in oval laurel wreaths, the inside cover with a Roman soldier sitting on a canon with a sword in his hand and surrounded by standards, in the left corner an eagle holding a laurel wreath with text Breslau et Schweidnitz, the front side with standards and monogram FR and coronet above, the back side with standards, one short side with le Trion Fant., the other short side with le bien Aime

The monogram on the cover is that of King Frederick II "the Great" of Prussia (1712-86). The monogram is enclosed by conquered cities during the Silesian Wars (1740-63). The two cities "preslau and schweidnitz" written on the inside cover were conquered by the Prussians during the Silesian Wars.
