With broad sharply tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section with circular latten inset at the forte, recessed ricasso struck on the front and back with a mark, and iron hilt retaining some of its original blued finish and comprising asymmetrical guard with two outer side-rings linked to the knuckle-guard by an S-shaped bar, diagonal inner guard of three slender bars, arms, downcurved rear quillon with disc terminal, pommel of flattened barrel form, and original spirally fluted wire-bound wooden grip
