First half 18th century, attributed to Francesco Antonio Grue, incised with a dealer's mark
(Targa) painted in colours with an ideal landscape after engravings by Gabriel Pérelle depicting a Roman portico with a multitude of wayfarers looking towards sailing boats and a distant village by the seashore, to the foreground with a couple of shepherds in conversation flanked by gnarled trees, outlined in brown and with an orange yellow border
