The waved and molded veined later white marble top above two long drawers decorated sans traverse with cartouches, the hipped angles with splayed legs and foliate sabots, the marble with restore break to back left corner, stamped L. DELAHAIE to the front right corner

Kjellberg (op. cit) suggests that L. Delahaie, about whom nothing further is known, may have made this commode rather than having simply retailed or restored it in the 18th century. However, the carcase and construction would indicate a later date of manufacture.
