Circa 1785, underglaze blue sceptre marks, incised 12 to cup, Pressnummer 3 to saucer, incised / to footrims of both
The can painted with a silhouette portrait of a lady to the right on a pale-grey ground within an oval gilt ciselé line cartouche edged with a garland of pink roses and foliage, the claret-ground border with gilt meandering flowering foliage, the angular handle enriched in gilding, the saucer with a central gilt and pink rose monogram TSFL within a similar cartouche and border, gilt band rims (slight flake to gilding on can above panel)
