A Berlin figure of a street-vendor
Circa 1769, blue sceptre mark at back of base, impressed K to base
Modelled as a youth, in black hat, pink-lined pale-grey frock-coat, blue striped waistcoat with gilt buttons, yellow breeches and black shoes, holding two root vegetables in his right hand and a basket of root vegetables over his left arm, standing before a tree-stump on a square mound base with green foliage (some slight chipping and flaking to hat, minute chipping to foliage of vegetables in right hand, some flaking to black enamel of shoes, minute chip to back of base)
