The Series 347 contains several smaller series within itself, one of which is based upon the 16th century Spanish saga La Tragicomedia de Calisto y Melibea, attributed to Fernando de Rojas. The tale concerns the machinations of an unscrupulous matchmaker Celestina and the tragic outcome of her attempts to unite two young lovers.
