Circa 1760, marked with underglaze blue crossed swords
The candlestick gilt and painted in colours, modelled by Johann Joachim Kaendler as a standing maiden wearing a flower-enhanced lilac drapery, holding a sheaf of corn and a sickle, flanked by a scantily clad seated putto, beside a tree covered in gilt-enriched rocaille scrolls terminating in a candle nozzle, the bobêche as stiff leaves, on rocaille base applied with flowers (small chips and restorations), the river goddess modelled as a maiden wearing a drapery, bending sidewards to a toppled vase, a stream of water running from it, on shaped rocaille rockwork base applied with flowers (minute chips, a small firecrack to her back)
