1730-1735, marked with underglaze blue crossed swords and Goldnummer 68
Gilt and painted in colours in the manner of Christian Friedrich Herold with two ogival cartouches depicting gallant scenes, one with a gentleman wearing a red coat, showing a wide hilly landscape with architectural structures to a lady in an elaborate purple dress, flanked by a seated man, the other with the same couple at a quayside with merchants at various pursuits, surrounded by a frame of manganese-red and iron-red scrolls and trelliswork panels, above a small Purpurmalerei stylised chinoiserie scene, the wishbone handle and pointed spout enhanced in gilt (the spout restored)
