A Berlin (Wegely) figure of Cupid in disguise as a tambourine player
Circa 1755, underglaze blue W at back of base, indistinct impressed mark
Scantily clad and wearing a large over-sized black tricorn hat, a tambourine slung like a drum from pink ribbons about his shoulders, a sword at his left hip, standing by a tree-stump playing the tambourine with drum-sticks on a circular rocaille-moulded mound base (one drum-stick lacking, restoration to hilt and tip of sword, drum-stick and right wing)
