The above cap represents John Govan's International debut and also his second International appearance for his Country. In the match against Wales played on 12th November 1947 at Hampden Park, Wales defeated Scotland 2-1. In the match against England played on 10th April 1948 at Hampden Park, England defeated Scotland 2-0
