carved in relief with two figures among rockwork and pine above three buffalos among waves -- 6½in. (16.5cms) high; a pair of soapstone models of seated Buddhist lions -- 6in. (15.2cms) high; three creamy soapstone models of fish -- 8¼in. (21cms) long; a lapis carving of a figure clambering on the back of a recumbent tethered buffalo -- 5in. (12.7cms) long; and a lapis carving of a seated phoenix among peonies -- 4¾in (12.1cms) high, wood stands. (8)
