The anglaise case with ringed handle and mounted with Arts and Crafts style porcelain side panels painted in two-tone blue, white and gold with leafy scrolls, flowerheads, planets, the sun and moon, the conforming dial decorated with panels of flowers below a chapter ring with elaborate Arabic numerals on individual circular reserves, with flowers between them and to the spandrels, the centre with retail signature THO.S RUSSELL & SON 21570 PARIS and with a stylised combined sun and flowerhead design, with blued steel hands, the twin barrel movement with good quality silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, with strike/repeat on gong to the backplate with punched stamp PATENT SURETY ROLLER and numbered 498
