Drocourt, No.10927, retailed by Henry Capt, Genève. Circa 1875
The cannelee case engraved with leaf and flowerhead designs, the sides mounted with porcelain panels, each painted with children playing in a field, within gilt running scroll and jewelled borders and Sèvres style blue reserves, the conforming dial painted to one side with a boy playing with a dog and the other with a girl with a basket of flowers, the Roman chapter ring above with gilt border and retail signature to the centre HENRY CAPT GENÈVE, with blued steel spade hands, with white alarm dial below the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to the backplate stamped for Drocourt and numbered 10927, also with punched repeat retail signature, with repeat number to the base plate; with original brown leather travel case
