The view of Whitlingham and the round tower of the parish church of St. Andrew were the subject of pictures by many of the artists of the Norwich School including James Stark and George Vincent. This picture may be the 'View of Witlingham [sic]' that Ladbrooke exhibited with the Norfolk and Norwich Fine Arts Association in 1860, no. 63.
