A bronze counterpoise, in the form of an aegis with attached menat, the front face in the form of a semicircular aegis surmounted by a bust of Isis who wears a tripartite wig and sun disc flanked by cow's horns, the aegis decorated with an incised central wedjat-eye, the back of the wig is pierced to take the attachment hook of the menat comprising a tapering shaft terminating in a disc, two uraei crowned by sun discs decorate both edges -- 3¾in. (9.5cm.) high, Late Period (712-332 B.C.)
