The first collected edition of Hertz's papers on electrical waves, originally published in the Annalen der Physik und Chemie between 1887 and 1890. His experiments proving that electrical waves could be projected through space led to the development of the wireless telegraph. This edition has explanatory notes and an introduction by Hertz.
